Better late the never...

Yikes - it is April 1st and we are just now coming back to the blog. I will try and catch up on the highlights and then our goal is to most little bits more often. I think John and i got swept up in facebook but we are now losing steam there too :)

Avery - she is just super and doing great. She loves her dance class and is learning her routine for her recital dancing to "Baby Ballerina". She is quite the wild thing and is really pushing all of our buttons. She is so expressive and has no problems speaking her mind at all times. She keeps us laughing and will say just about anything, anytime. She seems to have a strong fashion sense. She loves wearing her" skirts" made by grandmother - Dora and Elmo and wears them most everyday. She is growing so fast and thinks her birthday is every Saturday. Her best friend is Abby and they are just two peas in a pod. We know they will have many adventures to keep us all on our toes as they grow up together. According to her sisters, she'll be marrying Ty Porch one day :)

Ryanne - She is really coming out of her shell in kinder this spring. She still loves school and is reading so well. She loves going to the nurse several times a week and is most often there for a tummy ache from "eating too many donuts". We have the nurse passes to prove it! She loves her jazz class and is ready for some swim lessons too. She is best buddies with Addison and Chloe and is so eager to help mom and dad with any project. She loves collecting snails and will turns 6 on 4/10 - Wow!

Camryn - Camryn is turning 9 Sunday and wow has it gone by fast. She is an amazing kid and is loving 3rd grade. She is having a small slumber party Saturday with 2 friends. She is back to playing soccer this season and is learning so much. We need some Unlce Don photos! It is a league with "real" coaches and she is getting the hang of playing at a higher level. She loves it.She is also taking tennis lessons and loves that too. Camryn already prefers playing with her friends to most anything else and is quite the authority on anything she is asked :) Camryn was on a Destination Imagination Team at school and they competed in the regional competition here. They retold Rumpelstiltskin as a modern day story by writing their own script (using Mapple computers, and MPhone and having a CEO named Dell Macintosh). It was very cute!

John is doing super. Still volunteering at church quite a bit and singing in the choir. His soccer season is back underway and he scored a goal last Sunday - Yipppeee! Work is work and we are thankful for that these days. We are lucky to have dinner as a family most every night so I guess we are not too crazy busy. John is taking a cool trip to MN in July to fish for a week with Jim and his family. HE cannot wait!

Shannon - everything is great for me. Jen and I have benn consistently busy with Bright Eyes and are excited to do some new things this year. We are working on a new website, logo, blog, and facebook marketing. All fun and we hope it works to grow our business. I am keeping busy with exercise and am running my 1st 1/2 marathon this Saturday. After that we'll be getting ready for triathlon season. June 7th is our 1st race. I love training with my friends and can't wait for more fun race adventures. I am wrapping up my last year as PTA pres at school and am ready to move onto other volunteer things. I have my annual girls trip to MEX in May!!

Family stuff - We have not been up to anything major as a family. We did some camping with the Baughmans over spring break - it was great fun as always and one of our favorite things to do. We are going to vacation somewhere this summer with the Harkleroads and cannot wait to see each other again! We will can't wait to visit family soon (really) and plan to make trips to DFW, ETX and Houston.

here are some pics to catch up
